The Mid-Atlantic Semiconductor Hub (MASH) is a consortium comprised of Penn State University, the University of Pennsylvania,  Princeton University, New York University, the University of Maryland, the University of the District of Columbia, the University of Delaware, Columbia University, and Boston University. The hub aims to support the CHIPS and Science Act to enhance America’s strength in semiconductors and microelectronics and promote economic development.

MASH will offer access to unique R&D resources such as state-of-the-art facilities for materials synthesis, advanced packaging, and virtualization of semiconductor processes. The MASH universities are developing, in collaboration with industry, workforce development plans that will have a national impact.
