Government Partners

State government agencies can play an important role in the CHIPS Act regional hubs, as they can provide resources and support for the development of the semiconductor industry in their respective states. This could include providing funding for research and development, offering tax incentives for companies to locate in the state, and working with educational institutions to develop a skilled workforce.

State government agencies may also be involved in the process of selecting and supporting the specific projects and initiatives that will be undertaken by the regional hubs, as well as in promoting the hubs and the industry to potential investors and partners. Additionally, they may be working with federal government agencies, such as the National Science Foundation and the Department of Commerce, to coordinate efforts and maximize the impact of the CHIPS Act.

Overall, state government agencies are expected to be key partners in the CHIPS Act regional hubs, working with universities, industry, and federal agencies to support the growth of the domestic semiconductor industry.

If your agency falls within the mid-Atlantic region, now is the perfect time to get involved and play a critical role in the MASH hub.  For more information, please reach out to us today by emailing CHIPSAct@psu.edu.
