EVENT SUMMARY

The workshop will include presentations by representatives from industry, academia, and government on topics such as silicon-adjacent materials, packaging, virtualization of semiconductor processes, and workforce development opportunities. Dr. Subu Iyer, the newly appointed director of the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program (NAPMP), will be the keynote speaker at the workshop.

Despite the weather, we will be meeting at The Penn Stater on Wednesday, January 17 promptly at 8:30 a.m. for the Working Groups

Dr. Iyer will deliver a keynote presentation on the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program (NAPMP) vision and its connections to the other programs under the CHIPS for America R&D Office: the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), the new Manufacturing USA institutes dedicated to semiconductors, and the CHIPS R&D Metrology Program.
